Posted by Rick in journal, sheep, veterinary · No CommentsBecause the smaller sheep were so skinny we decided to deworm them just in case. Gave the larger sheep — Aretha and Anisette — 1.5cc and the rest of the girls 1.0cc. Beautiful day with a mid-day temperature of 44°F (6.6°C)
6 March 2009 – Shearing
Posted by Rick in journal, sheep · No CommentsGwen came up to shear the girls today. Ironically Anisette was the most cooperative, while the rest kicked and fidgeted. Manta and Caramel are looking a bit on the thin side. Gave everyopne some corn to help keep them warm, but it is unseasonably warm, so they probably won’t need it.

Posted by Rick in llama, sheep, veterinary · No CommentsDr. Barry visited and we wormed all the animals and gave the sheep their rabies vaccination. Suggested worming the llamas once a month from May to December and that the sheep are a little skinny. Sunny and cool. 50s.
