Home, Sweet Home …

our new home

When we first started looking at the possibility of buying a house, we were hell-bent on being in the heart of things. We wanted to be able to walk to restaurants, shops, etc. We didn’t want to spend our free time commuting, and we certainly didn’t want to be in some whitebread suburb with matching houses, miles of lawn, and no soul.

We thought that the only way to accomplish this was to find a place in the heart of the District. We were wrong.

What we found is that we could have everything we wanted—and more—in Silver Spring. And once we saw this little bungalow, we knew we were home.

Editor’s Update: In August of 2005 we picked up and moved to central Vermont!
