Do a search on "Green Mountain" on Google and you get over two million hits.

I would say you are better off looking at the street signs as you walk about Montpelier, and the geographical elements you find (rivers, hills, bridges) as you drive around central Vermont,

and find some catchy combo of phrases that "appeals" to you in your new/transplanted venture.

How about Mondegreen Recording? It echoes the whole "Green Mountain" thing, and has an inside joke. Sorta. Anyway, I like it.

Hey - welcome to Central VT from a recent returnee. I'd avoid monte verdi because there's already monteverdi school of music in montpelier and you might get confused.

I also agree about avoiding green mountain - I think a lot of Vters are fed up with everything being called that, and it's become sort of generic. I'd be much more interested in something a little wilder and less obviously vt-related. How about something like Woodchuck Audio, Big Mountain Recordings or Green Muse Studios ....?

I was going to suggest Monte Verde Audio (or perhaps Montverte?) but Brian makes an excellent point. Perhaps Turtle River Recordist?

I actually like Green Mountain Recording too. An old standby, perhaps, but it's one that rolls off the tongue.

Well, I sort of like Brian's idea, which might take you in the direction of Winooski River Recording, or some such thing. If you use "audio" people might think you sell stereo equipment.

I'd go in a different direction. Everything up here is Green Mountain this or Green Mountain that. I think naming your business after a natural landmark is a good idea but I always prefer names like Onion River Sports or Hunger Mountain Co-Op. They still capture the natural setting of Vermont but without reusing "Green Mountains".
