Just wait until you see Holmes on Homes... if you're not already paranoid about the construction of your house, you will be after watching a few (very well done, and entertaining to watch) episodes. We're also of the "new home owners" kind, having bought a nice place in Edmonton's Southwest. I can't tell you how much home improvement we've done since then: * Renovating (gutting and restoring) the main floor bathroom * Waterproofing the foundation * Replacing the shingles * Upgrading the electrical from 60amp to 100amp * Painting the main floor (the crackmonkeys who redecorated the place in 1989 did a salmon pink, teal, and black combination throughout the house. And now, we're currently in the process of restoring the upstairs bathroom and putting a shower in (it had a tub set in under a sloped ceiling -- sloped just enough that I can't stand and take a shower!) Heh!
