Farm Cam

This camera is located in Tunbridge, Vermont and looks southwest. A new image is captured and uploaded every 2 minutes. The image above is the most recent image, but this page does NOT refresh. The auto-refreshing version can be viewed by clicking on the image or this link. Be warned, it can be either boring or addicting depending on what your usual view is like.

As of 7 December 2011, the image is captured by an — until now — underused Canon ZR90 miniDV camcorder connected via a Firewire cable to an iMac where EvoCam sends it to the Internet. The images are no longer constricted to 320x 240, so they are now 400×300.

For those who want even more information, I use a filter overlay in EvoCam to adjust the brightness/contrast and colour balance, and added 30.5mm polarizer and ultraviolet lens filters to the physical camera to help reduce reflection and glare — which continue to be my biggest challenge.
