Time to Honeymoon …

Well, we did it. We got married. We did it our way, and everyone involved enjoyed themselves. Or at least that’s what they said.
I must admit, I was concerned that something might go wrong. I was concerned that family members might not hit it off. I wondered if the restaurant might misplace our cake or if the minister would get lost on the way to the church. I was worried that our outdoor ceremony would be held with us standing knee-deep in a mud puddle. What I wasn’t apprehensive about was my love for Sarah and my willingness to become her husband. That’s part of the reason why I didn’t hesitate to get her name tattooed on me.
It ends up I had no reason to be concerned. The dinner we held the night before the ceremony for the families to meet went very well. Everyone laughed, enjoyed their meals, and people paired up to chat after dinner. My father took a wrong turn on his way to the church, but still got there with plenty of time to spare. The minister didn’t get lost. The weather cooperated, and presented us with a warm, slightly overcast, fall day. The ceremony was short and sweet. The bride was gorgeous.
A special thank you to all those people who made our wedding day so wonderful: Reverend Gaffney for being such a groovy guy, and for making us feel so comfortable. All Souls Church for providing such a beautiful spot for us to pledge our love. Rick (hencio.com) for agreeing to photograph the event even though he claims portraits aren’t his forte. To all of our friends who sent us good wishes, vibes, and luck. But especially our families, who have been so supportive, and have showered us with love and generosities.

Were you *really* concerned that the bride would NOT be gorgeous?
